A hundred photographs by 60 photographers of Spot Photographers – a Manado-based photography community – are being showcased at IT Centre, a shopping mall in the capital of North Sulawesi Province, from October 18 until November 4, 2010. Themed “Amazing Manado,” the exhibition is presenting various kinds of photos ranging from landscape, human interest, model, architecture to digital imaging works.

“The public space is chosen for this exhibition in order to make photography closer to the people of Manado,” said Yunan Helmy, chairman of the Spot Photographers.

As a matter of fact, the exhibition succeeded to attract people in the mall to enjoy the photos depicting a side of rarely-exposed Manado. This 4^th exhibition organized by Spot Photographers is bringing forward such images as the beauty of nature, social life and other potentials belonging to the city and its surrounding.

“As the community’s agenda, the exhibition is intended to provide a sort of appreciation space for photographers and to stimulate public interest in photography, especially in Manado,” Yunan added
